Some childhood memories are made for the water.
The cannonballs. The floating hair. The bubbles. The way kids open their eyes underwater and suddenly look completely wild, free, and themselves.
That is what I love about underwater photography.
This is not a phone-in-a-bag situation. I use a professional underwater housing case that holds my regular camera, the same camera I use for my documentary family sessions. That means the images have the quality, color, and depth of my regular work, with the magic of being underwater.

Kids can jump, swim, float, splash, dive, cling to you, make faces, and just be kids. The best images usually happen in those quick, honest moments: a cloud of bubbles, a hand reaching through the water, a sibling cannonball, light moving across skin.
