About Michelle
Children at play is my favorite kind of art
I’ll never get over children’s ability to create with whatever is in front of them. It’s pure, limitless imagination. Dancing to songs they made up, ditching paint brushes for fingertips, and crafting the perfect bouquet of flowers (or lets be real – grass and weeds).
As parents, we’re lucky to be able to witness our children create, and even luckier to be the people they share their art with.
We'll never expect them to be anything other than their true selves during a session.
Silly, energetic, messy and real is more than enough.
Turning life into works of art
Every session is a creative collaboration.
The family brings their unique color, personality, and energy.
Then, I harness the magic of that natural state of being through observation and composition.
In the editing process, I thoughtfully piece together the photos that tell the complete story. From there, each photo is edited to enhance the natural beauty and emotion present.
Each finished gallery is a true work of art that is dedicated, and inspired, by your specific family.
Me in a snapshot
Born and raised in Tucson I’m naturally a lover of warm weather and a good pair of sandals
I lived in the Algarve, Portugal with my daughter, husband, and cuddly rescue dog for two years and just recently returned to Tucson.
With a BFA and an MA in Art Education, I’ve spent years teaching and mentoring others
Nothing fills my cup like deep conversations with good friends or walking on the beach collecting seashells.
Gentle reminders from one Mom to another
We’ve all had a “last time” sneak up on us
Maybe it’s the last time they take a bottle or the last time they hold your hand crossing the street. Your whole world instantly shifts when you realize something that had become so routine is gone. I’m tearing up just thinking about it!
Although it’s impossible to anticipate when those “last’s” will happen, by taking photographs, and taking them often, I can capture some of those special little things for you before they’re gone.
We’ve all thought “WHY didn’t I take a picture of that!”
For me, it’s when I’m reminded of something silly my daughter used to do. Like how she’d make ziplines from her bedroom window for her stuffed animals. We witness our kids in their own little worlds, doing the wildest and goofiest stuff. I love thinking about your kid flipping through an album 10 years from now and laughing out loud at pictures of themselves. And you, getting a kick out of their silliness all over again.
We’ve all secretly asked ourselves, “Am I a good mom?”
Anyone can say that, YES you are. But I want to give you irrefutable proof. I want to show how your children look at you and how you look at them. All the comfort, joy and encouragement you wrap them up in. And how loved they are no matter how frustrating or hard a moment may be.
These pictures will tell you in a million little ways what a good mom you are.
