Making art is in my genes; I come from a long line of artists. I enjoy painting, printmaking, traveling internationally, making my toddler laugh, and being outside. I have been photographing families and weddings since 2005 and have a bachelor's and master's degree in Art Education as well as a photography degree. My previous careers as an Art Teacher and a Teacher Mentor taught me how to make people feel comfortable. This is important in photography because you want to feel at ease so your photographs are an artistic expression of your life's most precious moments.
Being a new mom, I understand how much parents love their children and in each photo, it is my goal to show that love. I photograph babies and children being themselves, running around and playing. "Life as Art" sessions are when I photograph clients at their homes or on location just hanging out and playing together. There are many times when I am hanging out with my daughter that I wish someone was there with a camera to capture the moment so I can always remember it. I would be honored if you would consider me that person for your special moments.
